Hongyō-ji Temple
本行寺
Hongyō-ji Temple is a historic Buddhist temple with a Great Mandala, rebuilt after wartime destruction.
What it is
- A temple of the Kenpon Hokke sect.
- Founded in 1469 by Shinryo-in Nichitai Shonin.
- The main object of worship is the Great Mandala.
- Was a fundamental dojo for Kazusa Shichiri Hokke.

- A guest hall built in 1648.
- A study built in 1659.
- A bell donated in 1706.
- Four statues of Four Bodhisattvas donated in 1713.
