What it is

  • A Shōkan'non-shū temple, sub-temple of Sensō-ji Temple.
  • Also known as Matsuchiyama Shōden, founded in 601.
  • Main deities are Kangiten and Eleven-faced Kannon.
  • Enshrines Bishamonten of Asakusa Shichifukujin.

What to see

  • A small hill by the Sumida River, appeared in 595.
  • Bronze hōkyōintō designated by Taitō Ward.

When to go

  • The Daikon Festival is held in January.
