Hōrin-ji Temple

Hōrin-ji Temple is an ancient Buddhist temple with a rebuilt pagoda and historic wells.
What it is
- A Shōtoku-shū Buddhist temple.
- Also known as Miidera.
- Existed by the mid-7th century.
- Main deity is Yakushi Nyorai.

- Current three-story pagoda, rebuilt in 1975.
- Main image of Yakushi Nyorai from late Asuka period.
- Image of Kokūzō Bosatsu from late Asuka period.
- One of three wells is a National Historic Site.

- Located north of Hōryū-ji Temple's Eastern Precinct.
