Hōsen-bō Temple
報専坊
Hosenbo is a historic Buddhist temple in Hiroshima, notable for its resilience after the atomic bomb.
What it is
- A Jodo Shinshu Honganji-ha Buddhist temple.
- Founded in 1331 as a Shingon sect temple.
- Converted to Jodo Shinshu between 1469 and 1486.
- Moved to its current location in 1693.
