What it is

  • A village shrine in Katano City, Osaka Prefecture.
  • Main deities are Sokotsutsunoo-no-mikoto, Nakatsutsunoo-no-mikoto, Omotetsutsunoo-no-mikoto, and Empress Jingu.
  • Sumiyoshi four deities were enshrined between 1704 and 1711.
  • A record from 1535 mentions Katano Daimyojin.

What to see

  • A main hall, worship hall, and shrine office.
  • Hojo-ike pond is on the grounds.
  • Katano-sha enshrines Nigihayahi-no-mikoto, Susanoo-no-mikoto, and Ojin-tenno.
