Hossho-ji Temple: a historic Nichiren-shu temple in Osaka, rebuilt after war, with notable gates and halls.
What it is
- A Nichiren-shu Buddhist temple.
- Founded in 1598 by Shinnyo-in Nisshin.
- Destroyed in 1945, then rebuilt.
What to see
- A bell tower, built in 1773, survived the war.
- The Shodai-do hall also survived the war.
- A Shaka-do hall, built in 1998.
- A Nio-mon gate, built in 2005.
- The current main hall, completed in 2012.
- A monument to Bauduin, unveiled in 2000.
