Iga Hachimangū

What it is

• A shrine dedicated to Emperor Ojin, Emperor Chuai, Empress Jingu, and Tosho Daigongen.
• Moved in 1470 by Matsudaira Chikatada.
• Rebuilt by Tokugawa Ieyasu during the Keicho era.
• Expanded by Tokugawa Iemitsu, adding Ieyasu as a deity.
