Inbe Shrine is a historic guardian shrine in Matsue City, dedicated to ancient deities and housing cultural artifacts.
What it is
- A guardian shrine for the region since the late Heian period.
- Dedicated to Amenofutodama-no-mikoto, Amaterasu-Omikami, and Amenokoyane-no-mikoto.
- Also enshrines 22 other deities.
- Established as Inbe Shrine in 1911 after mergers.
