Injō-ji Temple

Injō-ji Temple is a historic Jōdo-shū Buddhist temple with a significant connection to Joseon envoys.
What it is

- Founded in 1560 by Chūyo Ittoku.
- Rebuilt in 1598 as Kobayakawa Takakage's family temple.
- Served as lodging for Joseon envoys during the Edo period.

- Sanmon gate is a Shimonoseki City designated cultural property.
