Isumi Shrine
夷隅神社
Isumi Shrine is a historic shrine with a lively morning market, worth visiting for local culture.
What it is
- Shrine rebuilt in 1041 and again in 1587.
- Dedicated to Susanoo-no-Mikoto, Onamuchi-no-Mikoto, and Inadahime-no-Mikoto.
- Known as Gozu Tenno-gu during the Edo period.
When to go
- Morning market held on 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th of each month.
- Market runs from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

- Located south of Otaki Station.
- Located south of Otaki Town Hall.
