Itakiso Shrine is an ancient Shinto shrine in Wakayama, dedicated to forestry gods.
What it is
- Ancient Shinto shrine, first mentioned in 702 AD.
- Dedicated to Itakeru-no-mikoto, a god of trees and forestry.
- Also enshrines Ooyatsuhime-no-mikoto and Tsumatsuhime-no-mikoto.
- Designated as Kanpei Chusha in 1918.
