Itayadoyahata Shrine
板宿八幡神社
Ancient shrine in Kobe dedicated to various deities, a peaceful stop near a historic station.
What it is
- Founded in January 987.
- Main deity is Hondawake no Mikoto.
- Also enshrines Sugawara no Michizane and Ohirume no Mikoto.
- Ikenomiya Shrine merged here in 1907.
What to see
- Himatsu Tenjin Shrine is on the grounds.
- An Inari Shrine is on the grounds.
- A vertical stone chamber was found here in 1924.

- 15-minute walk from Sanyo Electric Railway Itayado Station.
