What it is
- Shrine dedicated to Ukanomitama-no-kami, Yamato Takeru-no-mikoto, Miyasu Hime-no-mikoto.
- Founded in 1641 by priest Yamaguchi Shigemasa.
- Also known as Saizan Inari and Saizen Inari.
- Sits atop the Itsukiyama Kofun, an ancient burial mound.
What to see
- Itsukiyama Kofun, a circular tumulus 3 meters high, 30 meters diameter.
- Archaeological site of shell mounds with Jomon, Yayoi, Kofun, Nara pottery.
- Shell mound remains of oyster, clam, and ark shells.
- Fragments of cylindrical Haniwa collected from the tumulus.
