What it is
- A shrine located on an island in Kujo Pond within Kyoto Gyoen.
- Dedicated to the three Munakata goddesses and the secondary deity Gion Nyogo.
- Originally established in Hyogo by Taira no Kiyomori as a guardian for the Kujo family.
- The current shrine buildings date back to a reconstruction in 1927.
