Itsukushima Shrine: a historic village shrine with unique deities, a short walk from Mitsu Station.
What it is
- A village shrine, also known as Mitsu Itsukushima Shrine.
- Enshrines Munakata Sanjojin and Okinunushi-no-mikoto.
- Moved to its current location in 1602.
What to see
- Two subsidiary shrines on the west side of the grounds.
When to go
- Grand festival is held on October 6th.
