Iwaki Jinja
石城神社
Ancient mountaintop shrine with important cultural properties, offering historical and architectural interest.
What it is
- Shrine dedicated to Ohyamatsumi-no-kami, Ikazuchi-no-kami, and Takaokami-no-kami.
- Listed in the Engishiki Jinmyocho, established in 927 AD.
- Formerly known as Ishikiyama Shikina Sansha Daigongen.
- Designated a prefectural shrine in 1913.
