Iwane Shrine
磐根神社
Iwane Shrine is a historic shrine with unique architecture and several sub-shrines, worth visiting for its cultural significance.
What it is
- Founded on September 19, 1596.
- Dedicated to Iwasaku-no-mikoto and Nesaku-no-mikoto.
- Also enshrines Futsunushi-no-kami and Amaterasu-Omikami.

- Main hall is a Gongen-zukuri style building.
- Stone torii gate built in 1760.
- Stone lantern built in 1825.
- Grounds include Kotohira, Inari, and Shiratori Shrines.
