Iwanonishi Shrine
伊波乃西神社
Visit this historic shrine, founded in 1875, dedicated to imperial ancestors, adjacent to an imperial tomb.
What it is
- A Shikinaisha shrine, moved to this site in 1875.
- Dedicated to Hikosashimasu no Mikoto and Yatsumeirihiko no Mikoto.
- Hikosashimasu no Mikoto was Emperor Kaika's third son.

- The shrine building, renovated between 2005 and 2006.
- Adjacent tomb of Hikosashimasu no Mikoto.
When to go
- Imperial Mausoleum Festival is held annually on March 21.
