Jissō-ji Temple

Jissō-ji Temple is a historic Nichiren Buddhist temple in Kamakura with a unique main image.
What it is
- A Nichiren Buddhist temple.
- Founded by Nichishō as Hamado Hokke-dō in 1271.
- Became Hokke-ji Temple in 1284.
- Temple grounds were Kudo Suketsune's residence.

- Main hall rebuilt after a fire.
