Jizō-in Temple

What it is

• A Shingon Buzan sect temple originally established as a Jizo hall.
• Converted into a formal temple by Yusho in 1725.
• Restored in 1943 by Shogyo after a long period of decline.
• The current main hall was constructed in 1963.

What to see

• The main hall building dating back to the mid-twentieth century.
• A dedicated pet cemetery on the grounds named Ainei.
• A mascot-style Jizo statue located within the pet cemetery.

• Located a twelve minute walk from Gamo Station.
