Joetsu Aquarium Umigatari: a modern aquarium on the Sea of Japan coast, home to many Magellanic penguins.

- A municipal aquarium in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture.
- Opened in June 2018, nicknamed "Umigatari."
- Origin dates back to 1934.

- Approximately 300 species and 45,000 aquatic creatures.
- World's largest number of Magellanic penguins, about 120.
- Dolphin performances are held.

- Open daily from 10:00 to 17:00.
- Dolphin performances are year-round.
