Jōju-ji Temple is a historic Tendai Buddhist temple in Tokyo, rebuilt after the 1923 earthquake.

  • A Tendai sect Buddhist temple.
  • Founded in 848 by Jikaku Daishi Ennin.
  • Restored in 1314 by Shunkei Hōin.
  • Moved to its current location in 1927 after a fire.
