What it is

  • A Shinshu Takada school temple founded by Gensei between 1661 and 1684
  • Originally located in Sakurada Village before moving for Edo Castle expansion
  • Renamed from Jekyo-an to its current name in 1726
  • A religious site dedicated to the Amida Nyorai Buddha

What to see

  • A new Amida Nyorai statue installed in 1999
  • The main image which mimics the sacred statue at Senshu-ji Temple
