Jōnan-gū
城南宮
Jōnan-gū is a Kyoto shrine known for averting calamity and its beautiful garden.
What it is
- Shinto shrine in Kyoto's Fushimi-ku.
- Known as the "Grand Shrine for Averting Calamity."
- Dedicated to Jōnan Ōkami and other deities.
- Founded when Kuninotokotachi-no-mikoto was enshrined.

- Main hall, rebuilt in 1978.
- Rakusui-en garden, designed by Kinsaku Nakane.
