Jōshin-ji Temple

Jōshin-ji Temple is a historic Jōdo-shū temple with a unique connection to a 1936 incident.
What it is
- A Jōdo-shū Buddhist temple.
- Founded in 1614 by Kakurensha Nenyo Chōin.
- Served as a retirement temple for two Ekō-in chief priests.
What to see
- Cemetery holds the grave of patrolman Yoshirō Shimizu.
- Shimizu died fighting rebel soldiers in the February 26 Incident.
