Jōshu-in Temple
浄珠院
Joshu-in is a historic temple where a peace treaty was signed, dedicated to Amida Nyorai.
What it is
- Jodo-shu Seizan Fukakusa sect temple.
- Originated from Seikoin Daikaiji, founded 834-848.
- Converted to Jodo-shu during the Oei era (1394-1427).
- A peace treaty was concluded here in 1563.
