Jōun-ji Temple
浄運寺
Jōun-ji Temple is a historic Buddhist temple housing a Kannon statue carved by Ennin.
What it is
- A Jōdo-shū Buddhist temple.
- Founded in 1619 by Shinren-sha Nen'yo Ryūha.
- Originally a branch temple of Zōjō-ji.
- Later became a branch temple of Chion-in.

- The principal image is Kannon Bosatsu.
- Kannon statue said to be carved by Ennin.
- One of the Yamanote 33 Kannon.
