  • An Obaku sect Buddhist temple.
  • One of three historic temples in Hirai village.
  • Buddhist statues from other temples were moved here.

What to see

  • The main hall, rebuilt in 1998.
  • Buddhist statues, many damaged in a 1960 typhoon.

When to go

  • April 20th and 21st for the Miei-ku event.
  • August 16th for the Urabon-e event.

Getting there

  • 20-minute walk from Fukai Station.
  • Fukai Station is on the Semboku Rapid Railway.
