Kairin-ji Temple

Kairin-ji Temple is a historic Jishu temple with medieval pagodas and graves of the Chiba clan.
What it is
- A Jishu sect temple.
- Founded in 1187 in Makuhari.
- Moved to Sakura by Chiba Chikatane.
- An influential branch of Taima Muryoko-ji.
What to see
- A golden Amitabha Nyorai statue, "Kaijo Getsuetsu Nyorai".
- A group of medieval stone pagodas.
- Pagodas are a designated city historic site.
- Graves of Chiba Masatane, Toshitane, Chikatane, Tanetomi, Kunitane.
- Kumano Gongen is on the grounds.
