Kaisen-ji is a historic Rinzai Buddhist temple in Kobe, rebuilt after an earthquake, offering a glimpse into its past.
What it is
- A Rinzai sect Buddhist temple.
- Founded in 1289 by Enmyo Kokushi.
- Built in 1266, later became a sub-temple of Homan-ji.
- Moved to its current location in 1874.
