Kakuya-dera Temple is a historic Buddhist temple with a unique Kannon statue.
What it is
- A Kegon-shu Buddhist temple.
- Founded around Kakuya-do hall by Kuya Shonin.
- Became a branch of Todai-ji Temple in 1875.

- Main hall rebuilt in 1935.
- Wooden Eleven-faced Kannon statue in the main hall.
- Kannon statue is one-tenth the size of Hase-dera's main image.
