Historic Kasuga Shrine offers a glimpse into local faith and unique stone guardians.
What it is
- Tutelary shrine of Hiratsuka-juku.
- Dedicated to the Kasuga four gods.
- Designated as a prayer site in 1191 by Minamoto no Yoritomo.
- Masako prayed here for safe childbirth in 1192.
