Keirin-ji Temple
慶林寺
Keirin-ji Temple is a historic Shingon Buddhist temple with important graves, a short walk from Kita-Kogane Station.
What it is
- A Shingon-shu Buzan-ha Buddhist temple.
- Founded in 1565 by Takashiro Tanetatsu.
- Built for Takashiro Taneyoshi's wife.
- Renamed in 1591 after a land grant from Tokugawa Ieyasu.
What to see
- Burial site of Tsukian Keirin-ni.
- Graves of Watanuki clan members.
