What it is

  • A historic lighthouse designed by Richard Brunton on the eastern cliffs of Kinkasan Island.
  • First lit on November 1, 1876, and now a National Registered Tangible Cultural Property.
  • One of Japan's Top 50 Lighthouses, it became fully automated in 2005.
