Kokuzen-ji Temple

Historic Nichiren-shu temple, founded in 1340, survived the atomic bomb, and holds important cultural properties.

- Founded in 1340 as Gyonin-ji Temple.
- Became the Asano clan's family temple in 1656.
- Renamed Kokuzen-ji in 1656.

- Main hall, built in 1671, has a double-layered hipped roof.
- Kuri building has a hipped and gabled roof.
- Main gate, built in 1840.
- Wooden statue of Kumarajiva.
