Kokuzō Shrine
国造神社
Kokuzo Shrine is an ancient shrine in Kumamoto, home to historic tombs and a significant cultural property.
What it is
- One of Kumamoto Prefecture's oldest shrines.
- Also known as Hokugu (North Shrine).
- Dedicated to Haya-Mikata-no-Mikoto.
- Current building constructed in 1672.
