Komaba Park preserves a 1920s aristocratic estate with Western and Japanese buildings, free to enter.
What it is
- Meguro City park, also known as the Former Maeda Residence.
- Preserves the Former Maeda Family Main Residence.
- Opened in 1967 as Tokyo Metropolitan Komaba Park.
- Transferred to Meguro Ward in 1975.
What to see
- Western-style building, completed in 1929.
- Japanese-style building, completed in 1930.
- Both buildings are National Important Cultural Properties.
- Western-style building renovated and reopened in 2018.
