Kōmyō-ji Temple (Hiratsuka)

Kōmyō-ji Temple is a historic Tendai temple, home to a revered Kannon statue and important cultural properties.
What it is
- A Tendai sect temple, founded to enshrine a Kannon statue.
- Also known as Kaname Kannon, its mountain name is Kaname-san.
- It is the 7th temple of the Bandō Sanjūsankannon pilgrimage.
- The Kannon statue was obtained from the sea in 702 AD.

- The main deity is Shō Kannon Bosatsu.
- The Kannon-dō was built in 1498.
- The main hall's zushi is a National Important Cultural Property.
