Ancient keyhole-shaped tomb with unique features, part of a significant kofun group.
What it is
- A keyhole-shaped tumulus, or kofun.
- Part of the Saki Tatetsuki Kofun Group.
- Designated as a reference site for imperial mausoleums.
What to see
- A tumulus 204 meters long.
- A shield-shaped moat surrounds the tumulus.
- Cylindrical Haniwa rows on three tiers.
- Fukiishi, or revetment stones, are present.
- Ten subsidiary mounds arranged along the moat.

- Accessible by bus from Nara Station.
