What it is

  • A Shingon sect temple.
  • Founded by Kobo Daishi Kukai in the early Heian period.
  • 45th and 46th temple of the Mikawa Shin-Shikoku 88 Pilgrimage.

  • Main hall on the summit of Mt. Kobo.
  • 30-meter tall Kobo Daishi statue, built in 1937.
  • Bell and bell tower for aquatic memorial service, built in 1970.
  • Viewing platform called Lovers Hill.
