  • The 76th temple of the Shikoku 88 Pilgrimage.
  • Founded in 774 by Wake Dōzen.
  • Birthplace of the Buddhist monk Enchin (Chishō Daishi).
  • Renamed Konzō-ji in 928 by imperial order.
