Konzō-ji Temple
金倉寺
Konzō-ji Temple is a historic pilgrimage site, notable as the birthplace of Enchin.
What it is
- The 76th temple of the Shikoku 88 Pilgrimage.
- Founded in 774 by Wake Dōzen.
- Birthplace of the Buddhist monk Enchin (Chishō Daishi).
- Renamed Konzō-ji in 928 by imperial order.

- Main hall houses Yakushi Nyorai, Fudō Myōō, and Amitābha.
- Yakushi Nyorai image sculpted by Enchin.
