Kōsai-ji

What it is

• A Tōji Shingon sect Buddhist temple.
• Founded as a bettō-ji for Yagura Myōjinja shrine.
• Revived in 1409 by the monk Eikai.
• Also known as Kōsai-mitsuji.

• The principal image is Fudō Myōō.
• A wooden seated Jizō Bosatsu statue in Jizō-dō hall.

• 25-minute walk from Daiyūzan Station.
• 6-minute bus ride from Daiyūzan Station to Kōsaiji bus stop.
