What it is

  • A temple of the Shingon-shu Omuro school.
  • Its formal name is Washu-zan Kosen-ji.
  • Registered as a National Tangible Cultural Property in November 2017.
  • The 31st sacred site of the Kojima 88 Pilgrimage.

  • Main hall built by Shiwaku carpenters.
  • Main hall features carvings of dragons, animals, and plants.
  • Main hall has a coffered ceiling with painted flowers.
  • Yakuimon style gate built by Tachibana Kangoro Yoshikatsu.
