Koshō-ji is a historic Shingon temple, founded in 1220, with ties to emperors and samurai.

- Founded in 1220 by Yūkyō as a Shingon Esoteric Buddhism dojo.
- Dedicated to the main deity Senju Kannon Bosatsu.
- Served as an imperial prayer temple for Emperor Go-Daigo.
