Koshōji is a historic Jōdo-shū temple with a unique past and a notable grave.

- It is a Jōdo-shū temple.
- It was founded in 1591 by Tannami.
- Its original name was Kōkyūji.
- In 1644, Shinya changed its name to Kōshōji.
