Kōshū-in Temple
光春院
Koshuin is a historic Rinzai Zen temple with unique votive poem plaques.
What it is
- A Rinzai sect Myoshinji school temple.
- Its Sango (mountain name) is Teirinzan.
- Founded between 1596 and 1615.
- Became a direct branch temple of Myoshinji in 1676.

- Keio Ku-gaku-gun (votive poem plaques).
- Plaques feature poems and portraits of 37 participants.
- Plaques were dedicated in 1868.
- Designated a Mizunami City cultural property in 1979.
