Kōson-ji Temple

Kōson-ji Temple is a Sōtō Zen Buddhist temple with historical monuments and a haiku tribute.
What it is
- A Sōtō Zen Buddhist temple.
- Originated with Tokusaburo Momenya and Oshōzan Kokei.
- Became a nunnery during the Tenpō era (1830-1843).
- Renamed Kōson-ji in 1964.

- Gyōjadō and Ryūōdō buildings.
- Hōkyōintō from 1374.
- Isseki Gorintō from 1842.
- Onitsura haiku monument, erected in 1865.
