Kōtoku-ji Temple: a historic Shinshu Otani-ha temple with a long history of rebuilding.
What it is
- A Shinshu Otani-ha temple.
- Founded in 988 as Tōkōzan Shōyōhō-ji.
- Rebuilt and renamed Kōtoku-ji in 1228.
What to see
- The main hall, also called Karindō, rebuilt in 1771.
- The temple gate, dating to around 1750.
- The drum tower, built in 1780.
