Kōtoku-ji Temple is a historic Shingon-shu temple with a nationally important main hall.
What it is
- A Shingon-shu Buzan-ha temple.
- Founded by Miogaya Hirotoku, a vassal of Minamoto no Yoritomo.
- Revived in 1399 by Yuhan.
- Received shuinjo from the Edo shogunate.

- The principal image is the Five Great Myōō.
- Ōmidō is a nationally designated Important Cultural Property.
- Ōmidō was built in the late Muromachi period.
