Koutari Shrine, dedicated to feet, is a historic site near a castle ruin.
What it is
- Dedicated to Amenotajikarao-no-mikoto and Prince Toneri.
- Designated a national official shrine in 854.
- Known as 'Kami no Ashi' or 'God of Feet'.
- One of the Otoko nineteen shrines.

- Main hall, worship hall, and other shrine buildings.
- Subsidiary shrine called Nogami Tenjin.
- Remains of Shoryuji Castle's earthworks south of the shrine.
